The Omosako farm is growing ...
Again they build a new koihouse at Omosako koi farm.
We got this new pics from Takahiro.
Also we see the fryponds and the new tosai growing on.
It is going to be a very good year for tosai.
Also the results of the customer's koi are going to very good.

Our Nogami on Nishikigoi Monthly !!!
We had many phonecalls from Japan this week.
The new magazine was out !
With a new picture of our Nogami kohaku !
She was 89cm in January 2010 on the All japan koishow.
Now she is almost 92cm !!! and only 8 years old !
We hope she will reach 95cm in beginning of 2011 !
She is so much better than last year !
We will see how she grows in the last months of 2010.
Our friend Hiro in Japan has made this translation :
This Nogami kohaku was 89cm in January 2010 and played 2nd prize 90bu on the All Japan koishow 2010.
Normally this koi was going to be shipped to Europe in april 2010.
But because Nogami san and many other people asked Koi San europe to keep the koi 1 year more in japan, they agreed to no tship this koi.
Now the koi is staying inside in concrete pond in narita koi farm.
She has gone over the 90cm already.

Empty nissai and tosai ponds
We are cleaning up.
The rest of the available nissai and sansai are swimming in the big ZEN pond now.
There are some really good koi at amazing low prices now!
We need space for our new koi! We have had a lot of new customers in the shop last year, and we need a lot of new koi for the new season.
So we need many space to stock them.
In September we are 3 weekends open so bring us a visit.

19 july : Diablo and Fujiko are going HOME !
Yes, Monday 19 July these koi went to their owner.
They spent 2-3 years here in our big ZEN pond.
For us it is a sad day because we have to miss their faces in our big pond.
They came eating out of Danny's hands.
Also many customers were used to see them when they came in the shop.
But the time is right, the temperature is good, the pond is ready, it is time to go home for them.
When we arrived the total family was ready to welcome them !
We were happy to see that the conditions of the pond with 550.000 liters water was perfect ! And also the 12 pcs jumbo koi were in very good condition and many were grown over 90cm !!!
Seen this, we had a very good feeling for leaving our 2 sweethearts here.
And indeed ! 10 minutes after leaving the 2 koi in the pond, they were already adapted and began to swim with the other koi.

No, Danny is not mr M, no Mr M is not a ghost, he really exists as you can see !

We have made arrangements with a transporter so that your koi tosai or nissai can be brought home to your door in these 3 countries.
So if you want to buy a tosai or so and you live quite far away, they can bring it to you ! And for a very small price !
For example : a 15 kg box with water and 1 or 2 or 3 or more tosai in, brougth to a region frankfurt and further away will cost appr. 50-60 euro.
So you can see not such a big cost to bring your home

New koishipment on 7 and 14 april !
Yesterday some new tosai chagoi, soragoi, ochiba, benikiko, doitsu koi arrived from Kaneko and Marusho.
They are all in very good condition. Prices start from 95 euro.
On 14 april a big shipment of 80 boxes is coming in. Many koi of customers and Kondo nissai showa's, many koi that participated in all japan koishow 2010, jumbo tosai SFF, jumbo tosai Momotaro, jumbo tosai Kondo, HQ shiro Omosako, Dainichi nissai showa's, narita chagoi's, sansai shiro Omosako, etc ..... are arriving in our shop in Brugge.
So a lot of new koi to see !
Therefore we decided to do a great open-door-weekend on 17 and 18 april.
Everybody is invited to come and see our new collection.
There will be special promotions on many bigger koi.

Cherry Blossoms in Ueno park
Japanese people celebrate the beginning of the spring.
The time when the blossoms of the cherytree opens, they have a special weekend in all the parcs in Japan. All people come to these parcs to eat and drink with friends and beloved ones.Also some stay sleeping there.
In the evening the parcs are lightd up with many lamps in the trees.
With these last images of Japan we return to Europe this morning.
Next weekend our shop is open as usual. We are every weekend open.
Just the weekend of 24-25 april we are closed for Interkoi in Germany.

We found some Highquality doitsu koi at Marushu koifarm.

On 7 april these koi are coming together with some ginrin ochiba, chagoi and soragoi and hariwake.
At the end of our trip we found at last some ochiba.
Also we bought 4 nissai chagoi 55-60cm and 1year 8 months old from Narita koi farm Toyama. Here the origin of the large chagoi began. These nissai are from the origin oyagoi.

Yesterday we were arrived in Niigata.
Our first visit was to Dainichi and Nogami koi farm.
Nogami san proposed us his best sansai and we wanted to see it.
The pattern was stunning. The building of head, cheeks, breast fins and setting of the eyes says immediately that this koi will become a future champion.

Visit to Kondo koi farm
Today we visited Kondo and Narita koi farm.
We wanted to see back our Nogami Lady who played 2nd place at the All Japan koishow.
She is in perfect condition even after the show.
All our guests were in topcondition as you can on the pictures and we had a lot of fun today. Some needed some oxygen after a late night out.
We bought some very good jumbo tosai showa at Kondo and one very good maruten showa for koishow.

We needed a bit of time to relax after the crazy week in Japan with our customers and with the major Prizes on the All Japan show.
We want to say thank you to many people, customers, also colleagues/dealers in France, Holland, Germany and Belgium who emailed or called us to say congratulations !

We want to announce our first salesweekend of 2010 : on Saturday and Sunday 13-14 March we are having our first sales of the year.
Now 26 february new tosai are coming in from SFF, Oomo, Momotaro and Kaneko. Also some new pieces of sansai.
Everybody is invited to visit us in this weekend.
On 27 February we are also open as usual.
On 6-7 March we are closed because we are giving a seminar in Denmark about KOI !
Also Bernie Woollands, Peter Waddington are invited there. This is going to be a great weekend.
On 15 March we leave for Japan again. We are visiting the SFF auction and many other breeders.
The SFF auction is on 19 March so if you would like to bid on any koi on the auction, you can email or phone us any time. The koi bought on the auction can stay 1 year for free on the SFF farm.
The pictures of the auctioned koi come on the SFF website one week before (+/-12 february) you can find the SFF link on our website.

Big party in Niigata
The priceceremony was held on Saturday evening. The quality of all koi was outstanding this year. So many good koi over 85cm and also in smaller sizes so many good koi. It was one of the best shows since long time.
All breeders were there and were having fun.

Oomo koi farm
Today it was time to visit Oomo koi farm.
We were here already in November and bought some koi. Now we went again for tosai selection.
We have chosen 24 pcs of highgrade tosai for our shop. They will be there end this month.
I must say his showa and sanke are very good.
Also we had the chance to buy very good doitsu ochiba and kujaku from Kaneko.

All Japan show benching time
The koishow is held inToki Messe in Niigata, a very nice hall .
The breeders had in very difficult to come over with their trucks because the roads in Niigata city and around are full with snow.
Tomorrow is judging day, who will be the GC Dainichi or SFF ?
We will see on Saturday. Today we are visiting some breeders like Oomo, Marushu, Kaneko, Yamamatsu, ..... to have a look at their koi and tosai.

Niigata breeders visit
Today we could leave the hotel at 10h and we went to see Dainichi for some cheaper showas (1150euro) and afterwards we visited Hiroi and Marudoh.
We could buy some very highquality tosai for All Japan young koishow at Hiroi. You can see that trio here under news.
At Marudoh we bought a karashigoi and a very beautiful ginrin chagoi with very good bodyshape and ginrin skinquality.

We give you some impressions of our trip here. As always a lot of fun.
And always time too short.
Tomorrow we go to the koishow to see how the koi came in this night from Nagoya. Hopefully all goes well.

Momotaro Day
Today it was Momotaro auction. There were several nissai of the Mako bloodline.
These showa are very wanted because they grow very fast and sumi develops very good.
We could achieve to buy 2 koi, one showa and one sanke. There were a lot of customers and the most showa went high in price.
The showa is a maruten showa with a lot of menware laying underneath the beni of the maruten spot, and that will come up soon.
The sanke has a very nice fukurin on both sides.
There was also a tosai auction were we could be some very good showa and ginrin tosai. These tosai arrive in our shop at the end of February.

Now we are travelling from Okayama to Nagaoka.
Tomorrow we are visiting Dainichi, Hoshikin, Hiroi and Marudoh.

Dainchi koi farm
In the afternoon we visited Dainichi Toyota koi farm.
Our customers could see their koi and we were offered some very nice sansai showa for sale.
As we still have to visit Dainichi Niigata koi farm, we took an option on some koi for a week and we will decide later on this week.
We saw that all our koi got very good sumi during their stay in the concrete ponds this winter, and their evolution is great.
Later on today we visited our koi that are going to the koishow this week, and that are staying on Narita koi farm.
All are in perfect shape and condition. He has to bring 160 koi to the koishow for customers! And the entries for Dreamkoi at at All Japan show are amazing!
We hope we can win some prizes for our customers.
Tomorrow we are going to the Momotaro auction and later in the afternoon we are travelling to Niigata.

Kondo farm visit
Today we visited Kondo koi farm to select some tosai.
Unfortunately there were not much tosai to select.
We could make a very good small selection to ship home and could have a price idea of a couple of jumbo tosai for growing up in Japan.
The tosai were not sexed yet.
But we have to come back in March for a bigger selection.

Our Wintertrip to Japan !
We are going to Japan this week with some of our customers Jean, Nadine, Harry, Thomas, Gary and Chris.
Our customers are visiting the All Japan show in Niigata where their koi are participating in the show.
We will visit some breeders like Kondo, Momotaro, Dainichi, Minuma, and some Niigata breeders before the koishow to select some tosai.
Otherwise we will participate in the Momotaro auction on 2 February.

After we return from Japan, we will start with the design and construction of our Quarantaine station. We will be able to put koi in quarantaine for some time according to the EEC laws.

NISSAI CUP FESTIVAL!
Here you see some example of our nissai that we purchased this year.
All have different standard in quality and price. In our selection for the best nissai we looked especially for big size and body !
So you can be sure all this nissai are big !!!
Also we selected these nissai when harvest of each SFF oyagoi came in, so we know exactly from which bloodline they come, therefore we made certificates of these koi.
We want to do a contest between our customers and see who can get the best evolution of their koi in their pond no matter what the price is or quality.
One thing is common : all nissai that can participate at this contest are SFF nissai so +/-1,5 years old.
So you buy a nissai, you put the koi in your pond in april-may 2010 or sooner if you have a quarantainepond for the winter, then you take picture again in october 2010 and you send them to us.
With some breeders we will then select the koi that made the best evolution in growth, bodyshape, keeping good skinquality.
The winner can win a trip to Japan in October-November 2010 to visit SFF in Hiroshima. (Airplane, hotel included)
So have a gogogogogogogo !!!!
Also some nissai and older koi have new pictures taken in the shop.

Amazing Omosako nissai shiro evolution !!!
Last week we got phonecall from our friend Hiro that our Shiro "X" was so much improved in 1 month !
And he sent us pictures, have a look!
The edges of the sumi are finishing and the headpattern is coming very strong.
Also body improved a lot with swimming in a concrete pond.
Look at the tail, much stronger tailpart now.
If she continues like this in the first months, she will become second best nissai at Omosako koi farm for this year !
And maybe ready for koishow in april at the Wakagoi show.
Amazing how a koi can change so fast.

First Sales Weekend
Our first sales weekend was a big succes as you can see on the pics !
Everybody came to see our new shipment of koi.
In december we are open every weekend from 10 to 12h and from 14 to 17.30h.
When you arrive between 12 and 14h, you can find us in Bistro Du Phare, just a minute away from our shop. We invite you for lunch there.

Koi-evolution
We want to show you some evolutions of our koi in Japan.
In the next weeks we are going to show you more evolutions of highgrade koi !
Sometimes you have to wait long, but if you see the shiny skin on these koi, you know that it is worth waiting for some years.
Also some of our customers will be very happy with the evolution of their koi.
Some of these koi are for sale, some are already sold.

Private visit to Takigawa's san pond
When we arrived at Izumo dome we were immediately welcomed by Yukio of the ZNA and some other ZNA members.
Then we were invited and explained that Takigawa san was waiting on us to see his jumbo koi in his pond and also see the transport to the koishow.
We put the adress in the navigation and drove to his factory whee he has his private pond.
We show you some exclusive pictures of moving his jumbo's to the koishow.
Really we were honoured to see his pond and to see that this man is a real koikichi ! Here you see really the difference between Europe and Japan.
Here you are honoured when you win a koishow or if you have many good koi.
It is a pity that this is completely different in Europe.

Shiru "X" at Omosako
Yesterday we visited Omosako again because he phoned us that our last koi were harvested and also some new good HQ nissai tategoi.
We bought 2 new pieces, one to ship and one to grow further on the farm.
One was very unique as she had an X on her back.
This one stays in Japan.
Also we saw 2 of our customerkoi again. Both have very good evolution.
Afterwards we went fo rthe last time this trip to our "home in japan" , Sakai Fish Farm !
A last visit today and then we go the ZNA show in Shimane.

SFF 2ND VISIT AND HARVEST
Our second group of visitors arrived Sunday evening in Hiroshima.
Jan Marynissen came to look for his fisch and we invited Patrick to come and film on the SFF farm.
Lady in red was huge and ready to ship to Europe.
Today we saw the harvest of Symbol II, the kohaku had very good beni !
Really his kohaku are os strong in body and in skinquality.
We put the new bought kohaku on ou HP tomorrow.
Tomorrow are the last koi harvested at SFF. Then it is finished.

Dainichi and Kondo visits
Yesterday we visited this farms togehter with Ryuki and Mr Tepsit.
As you can see we had some good time and laughs.
Dainichi customer koi
This showa yonsai and kohaku sansai belong to customers.
Both fish made a very evolution.
Bodies improoved very much. Beni on kohaku is good and thick.
Sumi on showa comes up now very quickly ! Hiro Mano congratulated us with this showa and said 2011 all japan was waiting on her !

Narita koi farm
At Narita koi farm we saw back our gigant chagoi !
We could not measure her but she is coming to Brugge on 21/11 !
What a beauty and a body !
Also we saw a glinstering lady in a other pond at Ryuki's house, and yes it was the ginrin showa of Anro and Elise whi won 1st prize at All Japan 2009
She became big and grewed to 75cm. Sumi came up much more.
But the her body was impressing !

Minuma customer koi !!!
Today we saw for the first time the evolution of Minuma goshiki.
And we must say : they grew a lot more than we were thinking !
Size and body are very good now as nissai.
All these koi were bought as tosai.
The koi were just harvested so sumi has to come back now.
All 4 koi are going to All Japan show again.
The maruten goshiki right is still for sale !

Oomo Koi farm
Today we visited some breeders in Niigata again.
Here you see his best sansai showa from Oomo.
69cm and stays 1 year longer in his farm.
Dainichi showa harvest
At Dainichi koi farm today we bought 2 nissai showa of very high quality.
Both showa's have nice menware with good sumi.
As last year we bought also one hi utsuri sansai, a bit smaller than the one from last year but very good beni.
The males were not harvested yet, but we ordered 20 pcs when they come in middle of december.

This morning we went to Momotaro koifarm.
The main goal was to see our Mako nissai showa's from auction.
And see yourselves ! Woww !
What a sumiquality ! 57cm big both.
We were impressed by the beauty of number 1 showa of Mako !
No more words necessary, just stunning !

Big Day : Harvest of Tomahawk yondan !
Today we saw sansai and yonsai came in but ...
the best koi we saw harvesting today was our Tomahawk Kohaku !
3,5 years old and 78cm !!!
Amazing fish, even Kentaro was really enjoyed with the result !
Body has become somuch better !
Now you can be sure she goes to 88-90cm says Kentaro.
It is a relief that our best koi is harvested and that she made a good evolution.
Today we also bought a 30 pieces of nissai and sansai.
Very beautiful kohaku, sanke, showa, ochiba, kinshowa, benigoi,...
You can find them under koihunting and they all come in on 21/11.
Tomorrow we visit Omosako koi farm. Our koi and customerkoi are already harvested ! And the growths are also amazing !
Jean Hoorne 's shiro is grown from 58 to 65cm !

Dream Fujiko beated Diablo in Arcen !!
Last weekend at Holland koi show Dream fujiko, Mr M 's kohaku, won from Diablo, Mr M 's sanke.
There were 4 candidates for the GC and SC, 2 sanke and 2 kohaku.
But already in the first round our kohaku won the grand champion title with 7 yes votes on 11 votes in total.
In the second round Diablo won from 2 other jumbo koi the title of supreme champion with 9 yes votes on 11 votes in total !!!
There was even no discussion !
Again Mr M : congratulations ! ! !
So no discussion they were the best koi on the show.

Belgium Koimeeting 2009 Hasselt
And last but not least !
Diablo sanke SFF 11 years old won Grand champion and Dream Fujiko, a kohaku that was a SFF oyagoi in the past, won supreme champion.
For the first time they played against each other and Diablo won !
Her body is still a bit stronger than Fujiko's.

The dream team did again in 2009 !!!
At the Interkoi 2009 in Rheinberg Germany, our customers won again.
They began 2009 with the same result as in the last show in 2008 !
Mr M. became grand champion with his Diablo snake ! Many people told us that she was in better condition than last year. So we are glad they say that because we keep an eye on her day an night.
Mr Jean Hoorne became supreme champion with his Klaverbad kohaku.
He was very happy !

INTERKOI : a big succes !
On 25-26 April we took part at the first koishow in Europe this year.
And it was a big succes !
As you can see on the pictures our customers and us won 3 major prize awards !
We want to congratulate all our customers (38 koi of the 49 koi entries where from customers) at this show and today we are giving more detailled information about the winners in the coming newsitems.
