It is a complete different way of thinking. In fact the pondconstruction is in full contradiction with the existing systems in Europe. The pond has an asymmetrical bottom with all drains on only one side of the pond. The water in the pond is moving horizontal instead of vertical.
By using a conical wall on one side of the pond, the inlet creates a very strong current, that continuously keeps the water in movement. Dirt has absolutely no chance to settle down somewhere in the pond.
Even more innovative is the use of titanium balls in the ventilation/trickle
towers. The use of the titanium coated ceramic balls and the irradiating it
with UV light (photocatalysation principle) results in an antiseptic and
antibacterial activity.
You have no smell of fish, food, dirt near your pond.
The most important thing in this concept is the idea that the koi have to
swim in a horizontically movement of the water.
When they swim they need more power. So their bodies can make a better evolution.
